Life Lessons I’ve Learned Thus Far

learn-and-never-quit

Life lessons I’ve learned thus far:

Always look to learn from any avenues available. Education does not mean you have to be in an institution to be educated. Education is available every where and only a few clicks away.

Your body is an investment. A long term investment. What you decide to invest into it, is what you’ll get in return. Invest into the right things and your body will flourish and give back to you. Invest the wrong things into your body and your body will diminish over time, leaving you hurt and broken.

Never hold onto the past, as it does not define you, it only creates who you are today. Everything that has happened was a learning experience, so learn well from it and let it go. Close the book on it and write a new page in your life.

Don’t let your ego get in the way. Be the smaller person when you have to be and allow the individual to fuel their ego that will forever blind them. Sorry and forgiveness will take you a long way, while those who refuse to do so, will never grow and learn.

Love is never equal and we cannot love each other equally. Someone loves you more than you love them but this does not mean, you love them less, you just love them differently.

Be around positive people as this will fuel you to accomplish your goals, as they are doing the same. Minimize your surroundings with negative people and those who always complain. They will drain the life out of you and put you in a sad mood.

Always give things a try before you refuse. Who knows what you are missing out on and what you’ll learn.

Be generous, be kind, be loving, be happy, be free but don’t be a doormat, learn to say NO!

You are just as capable as every other person in the world, the difference is, they continued to strive and never gave up, while you did. Never give up, keep going, you don’t know how close you are.

Your personality, intelligence and character are more valuable than your looks. Work on those and you’ll be beautiful/handsome your whole life.

And lastly, know everything is the decree of Allah SWT. Learn to tie your camel and leave the rest to Him. Meaning, whatever it is you do in life, give an effort and leave the rest to Allah. As long as you put an effort into what you want and need, insha’Allah you’ll get. Don’t sit there hoping and wishing it happens if you never did anything. Even plants need water to grow.

There is obviously more but this is what my brain can process at this moment. Enjoy your weekend everybody, thank you for reading and supporting my blog.

Explanatory Style

95% of your emotions are determined by the way you talk to yourself. This is called “explanatory style.” Whatever events have taken place in your life and how you speak to yourself about them, whether negative or positive, will determine how you feel about them. It is always BEST, BEST, BEST, to speak to yourself about the events that have unfolded and are unfolding in a positive light, to help you have a positive mindset, in order to set yourself up to be the strongest version of yourself. The more you speak to yourself in a positive light, the more you will feel better about what has transpired and what will transpire in the future. It will help you progress and walk towards what you want without holding you back by regretting what has already happened. The more you speak to yourself in a negative light, how you feel about yourself over what has transpired and what will transpire in the future, the worse you will feel and the more you will bring yourself down. The more you will hold yourself back from being the strongest version of yourself. It is essential to think positively about yourself, the events in your life, no matter how bad they seem to have a healthy mind and a healthy body.

What Is Success?

People think success is money, cars, lots of materialistic things but that is not true success, not even close to it. True success is reaching contentment within your heart. Understanding your failures, understanding your past and accepting the blessings that come through those things. How many of us look at life and say, truly say, alhumdulilah (thanks to Allah) for everything that has happened? Many of us don’t say that because we dwell on so many things that have passed us by. We hang onto these things with utter disappointment. We can’t look at ourselves in the mirror because we feel we have failed ourselves but we have not. None of these things are failures but these are building blocks to finding that success we truly want and we truly deserve. Success begins with accepting the decree of Allah and that is with everything. We must always tie our camel, leave the rest to Allah, smile proudly and walk through any door we please believing with sincerity that what is going on beyond that door is best for me and what will happen Allah is going to will for me. It is for my growth as a person. It is for my growth as coming closer to Allah and him denying my wishes, is not because He dislikes something for me or because he doesn’t understand what I am going through but because He always wants the BEST for you. Don’t ever settle for just good because if Allah gives you the BEST in everything, make sure what you want in life is the best and the best thing is, contentment within your heart. Find it, keep it and cherish it. Never let it go because it’s what true success really is.

Don’t Keep Thinking Of The Past

Don’t keep thinking of what you did in the past, instead be thinking of what you should be doing. Don’t be stuck in the memories of sorrow, regretfulness, pain, tears, hardships. Instead create better memories by being as positive as you can be and being a person who finds even the most littlest blessings in his or her life.

You can either be for yesterday filled with sorrow and hurt or you can be for today, for now, for this time and onward for being positive and loving what the creator has decreed for you. Not everything that happens is as bad as it may seem. It may take time to open your eyes to see the wisdom behind it but learn from your mistakes.

Don’t drown in the sea of sorrows but learn to swim. Choices are apart of life. Be the person that makes a choice to improve their life. Time is precious. Don’t waste it on what has happened but be resourceful and manage it on what should be happening.
